This Week in the Lab - September 30-October 4

5th Grade Audacity Project - Students will create an audio version of a picture book using Audacity.  Students will learn how to record, edit, and add sound effects.  Final project will be shared with a kindergarten class.

Kindergarten - Students will continue to practice mouse skills using Tux Paint.

1st Grade - Students will continue learning how to edit text in Microsoft Word.

    

This Week in the Lab - September 23-27

Kindergarten - Students will practice basic mouse skills while playing "Bees and Honey".
1st Grade - Students will learn and practice the basic functions of Microsoft Word/Google Docs.
2nd Grade - Google Earth Project - Students will go on a "tour" of Route 66 and visit and learn about landmarks along the way while learning how to use Google Earth.

This Week in the Lab - September 16-20

Kindergarten - Students will design and paint using Sphero, an app-controlled robotic ball.
1st & 2nd Grade - Students will use problem solving to complete programming puzzles on code.org.
6th Grade - Students will use MinecraftEdu to simulate early humans from their social studies curriculum.

Kindergarten-6th Grade Intro Lessons

What will we do this year?  What are the rules and procedures?  What is the Responsible Use Policy (RUP)?  How do I log in?  All these questions and more will be answered in our first lesson of the year!
