This Week in the STEM Lab - January 24-28

Kindergarten/1st Grade - Students will practice programming by working in their code.org accounts.

2nd Grade - Students will continue the engineering unit by solving challenges in "World of Goo".

3rd Grade - Students will discuss digital citizenship and cyberbullying.

4th Grade - Students will solve challenges in "Crazy Machines".

This Week in the STEM Lab - January 18-21

1st Grade - Students will create the tallest LEGO towers that they can design.

2nd Grade - Engineering Unit - Students will create LEGO bridges that cross a river and will be tested for how much weight they can hold.

4th Grade - Students will learn about digital citizenship and work on activities at Digital Passport.

6th Grade - Social Studies Minecraft Project - Students will continue to create an early civilization by working in their roles.

This Week in the STEM Lab - January 10-14

Kindergarten - Students will use the laptops for the first time and practice their mouse skills using the program "Tux Paint".

1st Grade (snow days) - Students will practice mouse skills by solving challenges in program "Crayon Physics".

2nd Grade (snow days) - Students will begin the Engineering Unit in which they will solve various problems using the engineering design process.  This week's challenge will be the program "Crayon Physics".

3rd Grade - Students will spend the week learning about circuits and designing and building inventions using LittleBits.

6th Grade - Students will continue to build their civilizations in MinecraftEDU based upon their knowledge of the Social Studies unit.

1st Grade - Students will practice mouse skills by solving challenges in program "Crayon Physics".

2nd Grade - Students will begin the Engineering Unit in which they will solve various problems using the engineering design process.  This week's challenge will be the program "Crayon Physics".
