This Week in the STEM Lab - February 28-March 4

Kindergarten - Students will create a drawing using the various tools in "Tux Paint".

1st Grade - Students will learn how to create a foreground and background in "Tux Paint".

2nd Grade - Students will build and test a plane in "Simple Planes" using the engineering design process.

3rd Grade - Students will complete the Minecraft "tutorial world" in preparation for an upcoming project.

4th Grade - Students will learn how to create 3D designs using "Tinkercad".

5th Grade - Students will continue with puzzles in "The Witness" and build with Rigamajig.

This Week in the STEM Lab - February 22-25

Kindergarten - Students will revisit their code.org course and complete programming challenges.

1st Grade - Students will use Google Slides to complete various math challenges.

2nd Grade - Students will build and test Hot Wheels tracks using the engineering design process.

3rd Grade - Students will revisit their code.org course and complete programming challenges while also programming our Sphero robots.

4th Grade - Students will build and test a plane using "Simple Planes" while also building with Rigamajig.

5th Grade - Students will work with a partner to solve various puzzles in "The Witness".

This Week in the STEM Lab - February 14-18

Kindergarten - Students will visit the LEGO Wall for the first time and create various flags from around the world for multicultural day.

1st Grade - Students will use Google Slides to complete various math challenges.

2nd Grade - Students will return to Disney Coaster and create a complete, working roller coaster.

3rd Grade - Students will build and test a plane in "Simple Planes" and also build using "Rigamajig".

4th Grade - Students will visit Google's "Interland" to learn more about digital citizenship.

5th Grade - Students will learn about their "digital footprint" and what theirs conveys.

This Week in the STEM Lab - February 7-11

 2nd Grade - Engineering Unit - Students will use the program "Disney Coaster" to practice using the engineering design process while creating a working roller coaster.

4th Grade - Roller Coaster Project - Students will create a working roller coaster using the program "Disney Coaster".
