Week of February 3

Kindergarten & 1st Grade - Students will use problem solving to complete various programming challenges in their code.org courses.

2nd Grade - Students will continue their engineering unit as they complete challenges while playing "Bridge Constructor".

3rd Grade - Students will choose between working on their code.org or typing.com course.

4th Grade - Students will create a custom designed 3D printed bookmark.

5th Grade - Students will present their stop motion/green screen video project.

6th Grade - Students will simulate the rise and fall of an ancient civilization using Minecraft Edu.

Week of January 27

1st Grade - Students will use problem solving as they complete various programming challenges on their code.org courses.

2nd Grade - Students will continue their engineering unit as they attempt to build the strongest Lego bridges.

5th Grade Project - Video Effects and Editing - Students will create a short film using characters they created through the use of stop motion animation and green screen.

Week of January 20

Kindergarten - Students will practice problem solving and programming by working on their code.org courses.

Week of January 13

1st Grade - Students will practice "pair programming" by again attempting to navigate a virtual world in MinecraftEdu, this time with a partner.

4th Grade - Students will learn how to fold the world record paper airplane and then practice creating their own and testing it.

5th Grade - Students will practice problem solving through the puzzle/adventure game "The Witness".

Week of January 6

Kindergarten - Students will practice programming by using Sphero Indi robots on activity mats.

2nd Grade - Students will practice the engineering design process by attempting to build the tallest LEGO tower with a partner.

3rd Grade Project - Students will learn about electrical engineering and circuits by using Gcompris, Snap Circuits, IQ Key, and Little Bits.

Week of January 2

Kindergarten - Students will revisit the program "Crayon Physics", this time working with a partner to simulate pair programming.

1st Grade - Students will learn to navigate a virtual environment by solving various challenges in MinecraftEdu.

2nd Grade - Students will begin a "Engineering Unit" by learning what engineers do as well as the Engineering Design Process.  Students will practice this using "World of Goo".
