This Week in the Lab - January 27-31

Kindergarten - Students will build mazes and then drive Sphero through them.

2nd Grade - Students will continue using the Engineering Design Process to improve upon their track designs using Hot Wheels.

4th Grade - Students will use MinecraftEdu to explore equivalent fractions.

This Week in the Lab - January 20-24

3rd Grade Animals Research Project - Students will be assigned an animal to research online.  They will organize the information in Google Slides, add pictures, edit text and background colors, and present to the class.

Kindergarten - Students will practice mouse skills using various winter-themed web activities.

1st Grade - Students will use Google Slides to practice various math concepts.

2nd Grade - Students will be introduced to the Engineering Design Process and use Hot Wheels to design, build, and test a track that will enable the cars to complete one loop.

This Week in the Lab - January 13-17

3rd Grade Animals Research Project - Students will be assigned an animal to research online.  They will organize the information in Google Slides, add pictures, edit text and background colors, and present to the class.

2nd Grade Engineering - Students will be introduced to engineering and will use "World of Goo" to practice solving problems.

1st Grade - Students will create a "Dream" poster in Microsoft Word in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
6th Grade - Students will finish building their civilization through the rise, peak, and decline phases.

Kindergarten - Students will solve various challenges in "Crayon Physics".
6th Grade - Students will continue building their civilization in MinecraftEdu.

Hour of Code - December 10-19

All students will participate in an "Hour of Code" to celebrate Computer Science Education Week.

This Week in the Lab - December 2-6

Kindergarten/1st Grade/2nd Grade - Students will continue working in their code.org accounts preparing for the upcoming Hour of Code.
3rd Grade - Students will use virtual reality to learn more about topics and places using Google Expeditions.
5th Grade - Students will discuss their "Digital Footprint" as well as create their own footprint based upon their online activity.

1st Grade - Students will learn about Google Classroom and Google Slides as they create a turkey using what they are thankful for.

This Week in the Lab - November 18-22

Kindergarten - Students will practice mouse skills and problem solving using Crayon Physics.
1st Grade - Students will practice navigating a virtual environment in MinecraftEdu.
2nd Grade - Students will use virtual reality to explore topics and places using the Google Expeditions app.
4th Grade Programming Project - Students will be introduced to various programming languages including Logo and Scratch.

Kindergarten & 1st Grade - Students will be introduced to virtual reality and will visit different locales around the world.
3rd Grade - Students will learn to how to collaborate in a shared Google Slides presentation.
6th Grade - Students will continue "Early Civilizations" in Minecraft Edu with the goal of creating a thriving community.
