Day 2: How do you think things are going so far for your civilization? Do you think you have everything you need to survive? If not, what else do you need? How does this connect to the civilizations you have learned about in social studies?
I think things are going VERY well..... but excpet for people dieing all the time from hunger. Yes I do think we have EVERYTHING to survive. It connects to the civilizations we have learned because its VERY VERY VERY hard to survive because there are A LOT of enemies that will kill you like for example wolves, wolves will attack you and even other wolves around you are bad when you attack another wolf.Also it takes everyone's help in a civilization because without them we'd all just be dead.
So far I think our civilization is a hot mess! We have pulled it together partially, but we still need a lot of things. Such as our food. It took one of our ranchers the whole class period just to get wheat from the farmers. I started hunting and made it my job to be a hunter for the ranchers. it is a Important job and I find myself very good at it. This civilization is relatable to the one we learned in social studies, because we have a limited time to go without food and we have many of the similar struggles. For example, confusion. A lot of us do not know what we are doing and there are many struggles! I am just glad it is all a game and wont have to face these problems in the real world.
We need to get more food to be able to survive. Other than that were doing pretty good we need to breed more animals for food and we need to find more ways to mine gold and other ores.We can really experience how it was in the early times.
Its going better then yesterday we found more stuff. We need more food and diamond me and group are trying are best it hard at the sometime. We get to see how it was.

Its going really well. I have everything I need. This connects to social studies because back then they needed a civilization to live and needed to help out one an other. My job is to get crops. Im growing potatoes and back then they harvested their food. So its going great.
Today in minecraft we did a lot better than yesterday so we are doing very good. We made for food for everyone and no one starved as much. If we keep going at this rate we will have a huge village with lots of food. This connects to starting a civilization with the food, houses, and Animals that we have now.
In our civilization we need food to survive,were doing good.I am a lumberjack i have to get wood from trees or blocks but i am doing good don't need anything because i'm good.
day2 so far the bllilders are doing good they still need to bild stuff . But as we go no to get the stuff we need we have been doing better at the place we need to bild . Still we need to get beds , tables and laters . Also i need to bild the cavtria befor we can not work no more food and water is no longer a promlom becuse we have them but the crafters are doing a good job to and so are farms , luberjacks , miners . Ever one is doing good so far and i think it will work out ok .
I am builder and it was alot easy because now I get some tools to undo stuff when I build something and I am nearly finished on stuff I am building and now I can get some food instead of trying to kill some animals for some food and I can now craft stuff. That's why it was very easy for being a builder.

I think our civilization is doing well except for people dying. I think the ranchers should get some horses and the lumber jacks can ride the horses into the forest to find more wood. It is a great experience and it is fun and it really teaches us how to survive like people from the past. It's about as close as we can get to the real experience but it is really teaching people to appreciate what we have to help us live now because back then it was harder to survive.

The civilization is going well.It is still not perfect tough.We still need more food for our city,and the ranchers need to get more animals in pens.But other than that our civilization is pretty much perfect.
Our civilization is getting bigger and better.We are finishing with our buildings and having a better day.I think that our farmers and ranchers are doing there best to get us food and keep us alive.I think we have everything to survive.We are making our civilization and were not moving anymore.We are going to stay here and live our lives here and this will become our home.
I personally believe that our civilization is coming together really well, but I also believe that we need more wood because we lots of wood to make fences so we can fence in all of the animals and we also need more people to help us tame all of the animals so when people's hunger goes down they won't rely on us for their food.This relates to how we learned about the civilizations in social studies because all of the people had to work together in order for the civilization to stay together, just like we are in our mine craft lesson.

Other wise it is going really well, the builders had like 3 buildings and now they about 11 building. Also the farmers and miners are doing a good job too. The ranchers are doing a really good job also, with breeding the animals, getting meat from all the animals, also other things like leather,wool,feather. The only thing I need is gold and iron from the miners, and apples too, to make golden apples. Our civilization connects to all of the other civilizations we have learned about in social studies because we all have a job or a part to help our society. Also we are depending on the farm more than the ranchers because we can get that food a lot quicker. Today we are now depending on shop rite or Walmart, or whatever is close to you. That is how our civilization connects to civilizations back then.

I think things are going great we are dieing less then the first time. We have a good amount of things that can keep us alive in our civilization. How this connects with the civilization in social studies is we are living how they had to live but in Minecraft like how we need to grow food suck as wheat, carrots, potatoes, and other things and how and how ranchers give us meat from the animals and how lumberjacks give us wood to build houses. This is all we need to survive and we also need cooks and crafting people I believe this community is going to grow into a great society.
Today things were going so much better for the crafters (I am a crafter). People were giving us more supplies and orders we got the torches and ladders for miners.The pic axes and axes got to the builders and we had more food then we needed.Im pretty sure if it keeps going this way we can survive. We just need more food and buildings and for anyone who’s not a crafter to get out of the crafting room because they kept getting in our way, and I couldn’t get to the supplies.I think our civilization is going really well from Mrs.Altons class.
So far things are going good. We fed most of our animals such as cows,chickens,and pigs. But we didn't feed our horses. The only thing they eat is golden apples. We need as much gold from the miners because it takes 8 pieces of gold to make 1 golden apple. Plus apples are kinda hard to get. Everyone in my group did not starve to death, and we had almost everything we needed except for gold and apples. This is related to what I learned in social studies because in the past they had to mins for things and they had to build things, and also they had to trade with people.

I think that things are going well in my civilization. I think that there is not enough food. Also that the crafters do not get the things done quick enough. Lastly my group (ranchers) will not kill the animals because they think we don't have enough, but i tell them we could always breed more. They don't care i think this is slowing down the community of meats. I think this connects to what we are learning in social studies because we are learning about civilizations and i think that the thing were left over and how Mr.Dunn explained it are a lot like what we are learning.

I feel that things are going a little slow in our group. We are the builders, so we have to build a lot of structures. We do have everything we need to survive. We have enough food to keep us going. When I was getting hungry, I found a chest with 36 carrots in it! It was more than enough to fuel our food needs. We are still missing small things. For example, we do not have all the materials for the structures we are building. It connects really well to what we learned in social studies. Long ago, people had farmed for food to keep them going. We do the same thing in Minecraft. They also needed to build structures to have a place to live, places for entertainment, places to worship gods, etc.The builders do the same thing. There were also crafters back then. They crafted tools for everyone to use in their own way. That is what the crafters do in Minecraft. That is how our group is doing and how the Minecraft connects to our social studies.
hello i am a lumberjack and i think that our civilization is doing well because as we go on braking wood we help every one out on getting them on wood and i think were all doing our part and getting done what we need to get done and we are almost done getting the builders and the crafters what they need.I think that all of us are set because since we had food and we all work together and we help each other out and that when they ask for stuff we don't say go get it give it.I think this connects with social studies and that we see in ancient time what they had to do in order to survive in what they had to do to help each other.
In our civilization we are doing pretty well. I'm a crafter so far I was cooking some beef, pork, and mutton in a furnace. We have lots of wood. We have lots of iron and more ores. A lot of bone meal so the farmer can go plants quicker. So I think we are doing well.
The village of room 29 is going well.But that is my opinion.The one thing the we lumberjacks want are pickaxes.You can chop faster.THe best part of being a lumberjack is that you get to kill animals if they are out of the pen.They are wild at that point.by Evan Blake

Things are going pretty good with the civilization, food isnt much of a worry anymore. We have most of the things we need to survive, but everybody misplaces things making it difficult to have everyone know were things are. This connects to social studies because we need to get the resources ourselves instead of going to the store. We also learn what jobs were like and working as a civilization.
In Minecraft I am doing just fine,but we are having a small problem with the lack of tourches to use as marckers and find our way out of the mines. Because of this we are not able to work as fast as before. all in all we are just fine though, and I even found some iron,gold, and yes dimonds witch will help us to get more reasources. Hard to exlain but us finding natural resources benaeth the surface and givig them to the crafters who give it to everyone else we get more also by the others working faster and harder with the new resources and us getting more of what they gainned.

things are going very well. a lot of request, but going good so far. I do think we have every those well but as i said we need to work on the food situation. this is connecting to our social study because this is showing how the civilization us had to deal with stuff. For example WE have farmers and stuff so we have to craft them with seeds, crops. for the ranchers they have the animals so we need those animals to feed our selves, and so did the civilization before us. Okay so we have miners miners mine for stuff like gold,gems,iron, stone, gravel. The crafters craft stuff so the village can Survive. So far I think my civilization is doing good. We have a lot of things we need to survive. The only things we really need is obtaining a food supply and our farm is looking small. We're gonna need to get a lot more animals if we want to survive. It's like the earliest humans, over so many generations of them, they went from nomads to a full civilization. They grew smarter and our civilization is kind of like the earliest humans.

everything was going fine until people would come and kill our animals even though they weren't in our group. All i need is wheat to feed the sheep.So far no one was putting anything in the market so when i went to get food there was nothing left.

I think the civilization connects to Mesopotamia because just like Mesopotamia, we have problems with food. Mesopotamia created irrigation systems to help with that, and we are just starting are farm. I think are civilization will survive, and become a society.

DeleteI think our civilization is going well, but some of us still need to focus more on our job than messing around. Other wise it is going really well, the builders had like 3 buildings and now they about 11 building. Also the farmers and miners are doing a good job too. The ranchers are doing a really good job also, with breeding the animals, getting meat from all the animals, also other things like leather,wool,feather. The only thing I need is gold and iron from the miners, and apples too, to make golden apples. Our civilization connects to all of the other civilizations we have learned about in social studies because we all have a job or a part to help our society. Also we are depending on the farm more than the ranchers because we can get that food a lot quicker. Today we are now depending on shop rite or Walmart, or whatever is close to you. That is how our civilization connects to civilizations back then.

ReplyDeleteI think things are going great we are dieing less then the first time. We have a good amount of things that can keep us alive in our civilization. How this connects with the civilization in social studies is we are living how they had to live but in Minecraft like how we need to grow food suck as wheat, carrots, potatoes, and other things and how and how ranchers give us meat from the animals and how lumberjacks give us wood to build houses. This is all we need to survive and we also need cooks and crafting people I believe this community is going to grow into a great society.

People were giving us more supplies and orders we got the torches and ladders for miners.The pic axes and axes got to the builders and we had more food then we needed.Im pretty sure if it keeps going this way we can survive. We just need more food and buildings and for anyone who’s not a crafter to get out of the crafting room because they kept getting in our way, and I couldn’t get to the supplies.I think our civilization is going really well from Mrs.Altons class.

DeleteSo far things are going good. We fed most of our animals such as cows,chickens,and pigs. But we didn't feed our horses. The only thing they eat is golden apples. We need as much gold from the miners because it takes 8 pieces of gold to make 1 golden apple. Plus apples are kinda hard to get. Everyone in my group did not starve to death, and we had almost everything we needed except for gold and apples. This is related to what I learned in social studies because in the past they had to mins for things and they had to build things, and also they had to trade with people.

I think that things are going well in my civilization. I think that there is not enough food. Also that the crafters do not get the things done quick enough. Lastly my group (ranchers) will not kill the animals because they think we don't have enough, but i tell them we could always breed more. They don't care i think this is slowing down the community of meats. I think this connects to what we are learning in social studies because we are learning about civilizations and i think that the thing were left over and how Mr.Dunn explained it are a lot like what we are learning.

ReplyDeleteI feel that things are going a little slow in our group. We are the builders, so we have to build a lot of structures. We do have everything we need to survive. We have enough food to keep us going. When I was getting hungry, I found a chest with 36 carrots in it! It was more than enough to fuel our food needs. We are still missing small things. For example, we do not have all the materials for the structures we are building. It connects really well to what we learned in social studies. Long ago, people had farmed for food to keep them going. We do the same thing in Minecraft. They also needed to build structures to have a place to live, places for entertainment, places to worship gods, etc.The builders do the same thing. There were also crafters back then. They crafted tools for everyone to use in their own way. That is what the crafters do in Minecraft. That is how our group is doing and how the Minecraft connects to our social studies.

Deletehello i am a lumberjack and i think that our civilization is doing well because as we go on braking wood we help every one out on getting them on wood and i think were all doing our part and getting done what we need to get done and we are almost done getting the builders and the crafters what they need.I think that all of us are set because since we had food and we all work together and we help each other out and that when they ask for stuff we don't say go get it give it.I think this connects with social studies and that we see in ancient time what they had to do in order to survive in what they had to do to help each other.
ReplyDeleteIn our civilization we are doing pretty well. I'm a crafter so far I was cooking some beef, pork, and mutton in a furnace. We have lots of wood. We have lots of iron and more ores. A lot of bone meal so the farmer can go plants quicker. So I think we are doing well.

We have most of the things we need to survive, but everybody misplaces things making it difficult to have everyone know were things are. This connects to social studies because we need to get the resources ourselves instead of going to the store. We also learn what jobs were like and working as a civilization.
ReplyDeleteIn Minecraft I am doing just fine,but we are having a small problem with the lack of tourches to use as marckers and find our way out of the mines. Because of this we are not able to work as fast as before. all in all we are just fine though, and I even found some iron,gold, and yes dimonds witch will help us to get more reasources. Hard to exlain but us finding natural resources benaeth the surface and givig them to the crafters who give it to everyone else we get more also by the others working faster and harder with the new resources and us getting more of what they gainned.

I think we are doing really good and working together a little better then before. I think we have a good enough supply to survive but we could do a little better. We need more ores and stones because ores is used in a lot of things like buckets, tools, mechanisms ,etc.In social studies it was hard for the Sumerians to survive because it was a struggle for them to communicate. But as time went on my group was able to communicate better then when we first started.

I think that I have everything I need to survive because I'm a lumberjack and when I cut down trees, I find apples in them. Sometimes I even have to kill animals to get food. The civilizations that I have learned in social studies connect to this. For starters everyone had to work together in a civilization because without one person doing their job, the whole civilization could suffer. I also learned in social studies that people had to hunt and farm for their food to survive and that's what we had to do in minecraft.

Other then that were doing OK. Also, our civilization connects to what we are learning in social studies because we are creating our own supplies and tools to to make our homes, to cut wood, to make clothes, and to defend our ourselves.

I do think we have every those well but as i said we need to work on the food situation. this is connecting to our social study because this is showing how the civilization us had to deal with stuff. For example WE have farmers and stuff so we have to craft them with seeds, crops. for the ranchers they have the animals so we need those animals to feed our selves, and so did the civilization before us. Okay so we have miners miners mine for stuff like gold,gems,iron, stone, gravel. The crafters craft stuff so the village can Survive. With out the crafters we wont be able to eat have tools cut down trees mine stuff, and without them we would be dead. Wow I cant wait for tomorrow

We're gonna need to get a lot more animals if we want to survive. It's like the earliest humans, over so many generations of them, they went from nomads to a full civilization. They grew smarter and our civilization is kind of like the earliest humans.
