4.) In order to truly be considered a civilization, a society needs to be stable enough to have jobs that don't directly contribute to survival: artists, performers, musicians, sculptors, etc. In that case, is our Minecraft society actually a civilization? Why or why not?
It would not be better with more people. We have just enough people to finish.With early humans it would be harder for everyone. Builders would have to build more houses. Farmers would have more people to feed.Our minecraft civilization is good as it is. I would consider it a civilization.

Delete1.Building the city was extremely fun. A lot went well such as building the houses, the temple came out awesome, and we found a lot of diamonds. The things that didn't go well was the food source, but after a minute it was super and we used up a lot of blocks which made the miners work really hard. Nothing that I see really needs to be done other than the farm which lacks animals but other than that this was awesome!

DeleteThe experience was great.it was good since today was our last day they worked more and got more supplies.It was kinda hard tough because people kept coming in our crafting area.We still need to get more stuff for the ranchers and finish all the buildings.It would probably be easier with more people because we would have more people to work on stuff.It would probably have an advantage with more people because the more people to work the better.it is a civilization because we have different job and people assigned to them'and we have different tools.
ReplyDeleteIn the civilization the breeding went very well because we had many animals. We had arguments about killing the animals though. We still need to breed more animals as well. I do not think it would be easier with more people because there would be more arguing. I do think with more people you would have an advantage because you would have more people to get jobs done faster. DeleteI had an amazing time building the structures. A lot of things went well like the houses, the church, the market, and the city hall. The some things that went poorly was the art museum. The things we still need to complete are the school and the cafeteria. It would be easier with more people because many people can work on the same thing at the same time. It was easier with more people because more people had more jobs. More people could work on many things. Our Minecraft society is a civilization because the builders can build many things that relate to the jobs that are in a civilization For example, artists and sculptors.

I think we still need to finish the roofs of the building but its going really well.We have all the materials from doors to sandstone and we have a lot of beds to also to sleep and set our spawn. 2. We also do NOT need more people its hard enough working with everyone but we do have a lot of team work to help.

4. Yes I think our "area" would be called a civilization because we only have the things we need and not focus on the things we want.For instance we have buildings for shelter and farms for food so from my perspective we have a great civilization.

DeleteMY experience with building the city was fun and exciting because i have never played mine craft before and I believe that everyone worked well together! I think we also need a faster way to go to the market so i don't die of hunger. I believe that it would the civilization would have to come together faster because we needed more people to help with farming and to harvest the crops.I don't believe that a civilization with less people had an advantage because in order to maintain a civilization everyone has to work together. Our mine craft civilization can be real because there were lots of food,houses,and water.

ReplyDelete1.) The experience was a little hectic, I am a craftsman, so many people were coming in and out trying to make their own supplies when we were trying to help out. The buildings were coming together. Ziggurats, houses, shops were all coming together in my eyes.
ReplyDelete2.) No it wouldn't be easy. Too much chaos, people running around, animals and other mobs runing around. Defences would be down.
3.) Yes because they would have a huge army.

I think it went well,but we probably still need more people for our civilization just because that so many people didnt do there part witch a lot of people did just not some people.The crafters did have a bad day today because other people didnt ask us what they needed plus people kept destroying things for no reason,but i think we did well.
ReplyDeleteMY experience was pretty good but sometimes it wasn't. People would keep coming and killing our animals. Every time i need wheat for the sheep i would have to go to the farmers and ask because there was none in the market.I still need to breed them again and start to kill them for meat. I think that if we had more people it would be harder because nobody would be cooperative and would be selfish and keep their stuff. We only have 30 some people and it's already very hard. Sometimes civilizations with more people could be better than with less because if they cooperated it would be easier. I think minecraft would be a civilization because everyone was doing what they had to do.

What went well was that we were able to build a farm, the city etc. i don't necessarily think that anything went poorly.What still needs to be done is i think the buildings. I think that if we had more people we probably would have gotten a lot more done. i think that civilizations with more people had an advantage over those with fewer people because there would be more people to help around with the community. I think that our civilization may need more thing to be an actually community. If we had gotten everything we needed done early we would have time to add more things such as musicians, artist, performers, Etc.

I also think this would go even better with more people because we could get the jobs done faster. My experience being a farmer was really fun. I learned new farming things and had a good time farming. I think the potatoes and the carrots were going well, but the wheat and the pumpkins were a little low.more crops for the animals. Yes I think it would be easier with more people because it would've went faster and we wouldn't have to worry about running out of time. Delete2. It was definitely easier with more people. Most of the building were pretty big so the more people the easier it was. Also we need people to do multiple stuff like ores, and blocks so that really helped. The crafters made stuff so we didnt have to stop building.

DeleteMy experience building the city went really well. I was a miner so I gave all the ore that anyone needed. The only problem that we had was food but we fixed that later on. I think the only thing that we still need to build up is the farm, it is going well but it is still vary little. I think we have enough people, there are 31 of us and we work well together. I think the civilizations with more people do well, but just like everything else there are downs. Like the food, with more people you need more food. With less people your society will go slower. Are society is a civilization ,as it said in the book, you need a stable food supply and shelter to become a society and we have all of those things.

Yes i would think it would be faster becuase we would have our building built at a faster rate. No becuase they would have less food to share and less buildings to make. I think civilizations with more people is a asvantage cause they usually fought and more people more of an advantage you had. I believe if we had more people it would be more difficult to be able to do things,and everyone would need something all the time and we need enough to still have enough animals to bread.That also means we had more of an advantage in this case to make sure we had all we needed.In this case our society was civilization because we all survived and played our role.

I think it would have gone better with less people because less people telling you what to do and all that.
