6th Grade Minecraft - Part 3

Minecraft: War!
You fought in a "war" today; at least as much of a war as Minecraft can be.  Answer the following questions, all in one comment please:

Part A: Your Own Reaction

1.) What were your emotions during the beginning?  If you were an attacker, what were you feeling leading up to the attack?  If a defender, how did you react when the attackers came?

2.) What were your thoughts during the "defend the beacons" stage?  What went well?  What went badly?

3.) How did it feel when a 3rd "army" (the monsters) came in?  Did you automatically stop fighting the other players, or did you continue your fight?  Why or why not?

4.) What were your thoughts and emotions when you looked over the ruin of the city?

Part B: Application to Social Studies

1.) You've been learning about Egypt, Kush, and Assyria.
In our lesson, what group would be the "Egyptians"?  Why them?
What group would be the Kushites?  Why?
What group would be the Assyrians?  Why?

2.) What must it have been like for those who lived through the actual conquest of Egypt?  Would they have felt any of the same emotions you did?  What would have been different?

3.) Do you think there is such a thing as a "good" war?  Given the destruction and loss of (Minecraft) life that you saw today, is war ever "worth it"?  Why or why not?

  1. My emotions in the beginning were happy and excited.I was so happy to be playing minecraft with my friends.I was a defender and I felt like a savage when I could hit them back. But I did not like having to waste 2 minutes going through the maze when we died. Those were my emotions when playing minecraft for social studies.

  2. When I had to defend the beacon I thought that it would be hard because it was so unsuspected and we ha no armor.I don't think anything went well with it but went badly was that they came out when we where not paying attention and they could get to them so easy.

  3. When the monsters came in I really did not care because they walked so slow and you could run right around them.

  4. I thought that it was a big waste of time. The gastes fireballs tured the wooden places on fire and they burned down.

  5. My emotions during the beginning when we got attacked were pretty mixed, because I was happy to get some action for once, instead of sitting on a furnace all day crafting things for others, and at least it was something other then building because I was quite bored before the attack, and I was thirsty for some action. I had some odd and good thoughts during the 'Attack the/Defend the Beacon Stage' and some of them were like, "OH Cool, we could totally win this!" but later on I learned that I was screwed and was like "God Why..?" and that thought came in once I was getting spawn killed by the creepers and zombies I spawned from my eggs. And then the monsters came in , which in most I spawned in hordes with eggs to kill my enemies but hey! how else could I defend myself? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
And I continued to kill the other team due to them taking my diamonds by killing me while I was crafting. Which angered me because those were earned In a long process, because I didn't spawn with diamond gear like everyone else.
Talking about this 'Ruined City' I didn't really care, because I mostly caused all of it with my creeper eggs...so yeah, sorry guys if that wasn't suppose to be something I should've been using. And I bet your just like ﴾͡๏̯͡๏﴿ O'RLY? right now, but I know deep inside your heart, you will eventually forgive me.
    Part B:
The group most likely to be like the Egyptians were the crafters, and the groups that were like the Assyrian's were the attackers and not to forget that one group that acted like Kushite's may have been the lumber jacks.
It must've been hell for those who lived through the actual conquest of Egypt because like, I mean who would even wanna be put through that kind of stress anyway? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
And I doubt they'd feel the kind of emotions that I did because they felt horrified while I felt blood-thirsty so.., I may be weird but that's HOW I FEEL, Not you.
There may never be such thing as a 'good war' since if you think all your family and friends dying right beside you is good, then I guess its good for you, but the not the others, and it'd mostly depend on defense and offence and war is worth it, well that is for me that is \ (•◡•) / .

  6. PART A:I was feeling bad and no sure if we were ready to fight.I keep fighting because if you didn't you would die.PART B:No because this is just a game but for them it is real life.No war is never good because people die and things get destroyed.

  7. I loved our Minecraft projects and I'm sad to see the year go by so fast as it's already almost April. When we were doing our thing, we (the defenders) were suddenly attacked by the kids that we thought were in trouble! We were all killed and sent to MC heaven maze. We were shocked and mad that we got raided. We needed to get back and, defend our beacons! Unfortunately, beacons broke and bloodshed happened. But we had fun and defended our city. I thought it was just on hard mode, but monsters came in! We kept fighting and an attacker and I killed a horde but it didn't mean we worked together. Just tried to kill them so we could have our fight in peace. I was sad and mad because a lot of hard work went missing and all the buildings were damaged.
Kushites were attackers, Egyptians were defenders, and Assyrians were monsters.
Yes! They would have similar emotions to me. But it must have been difficult and hard to fight Kushites. It would be different because they would be more enraged and sad since this was just a simulation and it would have been 1000x more difficult.
NO! There would be no such thing as a good war!! Violence is never the answer. But, the raiders might get stuff so it might be good for them, but there will be death. War is not worth it but maybe ally and get more supplies instead of fighting. There is no point towards it! But I really loved 2016 and 2017 school year and I can't believe this was our last MC project. But I liked this project!

  8. I was a defender and it was pretty outgoing because I didn't expect that at all. it came out of no where. it went okay I guess beacsue we was all trying to also defend ourselves, but then again we had to go out and protect the beaceons and make sure the attackers wont come yes I think they would've felt the same way or even more hurt because they were accuatly there working on it and they couldn't fly to do the roofs like we did, and it wasn't that easy to grt materials. Well kinda because while we was doing it you heard a lot of people saying " lets work together" No war wasn't worth it because all that hard work and all that destruction wasn't orth that warand kill us. we contued our fight when the other monsters came in (the "3rd army" ) beacsue it was kour place and we did all that hard work not to just let it get destroyed. My thoughts and emotionts when I looked over our city at the end was like , we should've been more prepared for something like this and was like "omg!" all that hard work we all did to get destroyed .

the egyptiants was the ddefenders and the kushetys was the atttackers because the kuseyts attacked the Egyptians. the assryains would be the monsters ( "3rd army" ) beacsue it tried to kill all not just a certain group. it would've been difficlut tfor the people who lived through the accutal quest of Egypt. the enmotuon has been the same or even just worse beacsue they couldn't fly like we could to get the roof done, and it also wasn't that easy to get materials. Yes kinda therec good be a such thing as "good" war because while we was in it I heard people saying " lets work together" and it was from the attackers and defenders. NO what I saw today wasn't worth it because we did a lot of work toi get bulidings burned down and stuff.

  9. I do not think there is such thing as a good war because in all the wars I have heard about it was fight to the death. Also, you are sacrificing the people in your colony or community to fight and depending on your military your colony could end up loosing a lot of peoples lives. I do think war is worth it because when war is caused it is mainly purposed by and argument and that is what it turns into, WAR. So when war is ended the reward is whatever the argument was.

  10. The emotion during the beginning was of shock and anger. The sneak attack plan was played smart, but fooled us all.
During the defend the beacons stage, a lot went badly. Many of us were nunprepared and unskilled in fighting. The attackers had a good plan and were ready to fight.
When the third army joined, I had to fight both at once, to the point I had to hide in my desiginated room with my bow and arrows to shoot off those trying to enter.
Looking over the city was as if someone ripped something you worked on for days in half. It stunk to watch it happen, but luckily we will not continue to it.
I think the defenders would be the Egyptians, the attackers the Kushites and the third army the Assyrians.
I think the real Egyptians would have felt a more painful similar emotion to what we felt.
I think there is such thing as a good war, a war with a meaning would make more sense to have than a stupid one.

  11. I was an attacker during this "war" and it was really exciting. When Mr.Dunn told us about we were going to be attacking our civilization I was filled with emotions, but mostly I felt thrilled and nervous like I was going to mess it all up. During the protect of the beacon stage people were getting me mixed up what the beacons were so I was just destroyed everything. What went badly was everyone was killing each other and also zombies, spiders, creepers, and etc. were too and a few people protected me because the monsters came all around right towards us. When the monsters came in the entire whole class's jaws dropped and the stupid thing was we kept on killing each other not just worry on the monsters. Our class didn't really ruin the city, but when you saw "heaven" it was horrific. The walls were all gone in "heaven".
What group was the Egyptians was the rest of the class that weren't the attackers because the didn't know what was going on and they weren't prepared. The group that was the Kushites was us(the attackers) because we attacked them and their whole civilization like the Kushites did. The monsters would be the Assyrians because the were the third party of the war. The Eygptains would probably feel the same emotions like the class did because you are being attacked, and your whole town is being destroyed and it's nerve-racking. What emotions might have been different is that we only built that town we didn't live in the Eygptains felt sad inside because it's like losing your home which is a terrible feeling. No, there is not a thing called a "good" war because people loose their lives and towns get destroyed and nothing good happens in a war. It's not even worth fighting and killing people it's just wrong and horrible.

  12. 1.)I was a defender, I seen other people in diamond armor and had diamond swords and was wondering why and also Mrs. Alton said that they wouldn't be playing. Was that a part of the attack? On the other hand I was scared and annoyed that they wouldn't stop killing me!
2.)"OH NO!!!!!!" Is what I was thinking because I couldn't find any beacons that were still there. I felt like they already got all of them!!! Panic is the feeling I was feeling most of all!!! We were doing worse because the attackers sadly kept taking all the beacons!!!
3.)I got a worse fear when the monsters came in at night. Although they were there I Successfully picked up creeper spawn eggs and got through. I continued fighting.
4.)I was surprised of how much damage was done to the city.
    PART B
    1.)???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
2.)It would be very painful and they would have lost lots and lots of loved ones. They wouldn't feel the same as us because we wee just in a game. Being in the game makes it all so different. There is a huge difference!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
3.)A war would be good to the people that won and survived it, but there is a lot of work to do if we were allowed to repair our buildings. Wars are never worth it because why go to war when we can ALL be friends???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

  13. I was an attacker in Minecraft and I was ready to fight the other people during that stage. I felt really excited because we were going to simulate what it felt like to be in a real war. Also we were all fighting each other so that made it seem real. My thoughts during the " defend the beacons" stage are, how will we destroy the beacons before the defenders come and fight us at the same time. Also which beacon are the defenders defending because, some of them could be at one. While there is no one defending the other ones too. somethings went well like we destroyed everyone that was alive and, accomplished are goals. Somethings went badly like when the defenders got Diamond armor and sword. So that didn't go according to plan. When the third army came in I kept on fighting the other players until I found out everyone was fighting the monsters. I kept on fighting the defenders because I thought the monsters were a distraction. So the other people could attack you while your fighting the monsters. I also thought that the defenders were like getting supplies from the chest to defeat the attackers. My thoughts and emotions when I saw the city destroyed were do we have enough supplies to rebuild them. Like do we have enough stones and wood for builders. I also thought that other people will be upset over are village, but I knew we can rebuild it. It didn't really bother me when I saw the village because we all can work on it together. In the game the Egyptians was the people of the village. They were because they built the city in the first place. The Kushites were the attackers because they attacked the Egyptians. Finally the Assyrians were the monsters because they attacked everyone in real life. What it have must have been like must have been very scary because that is real and this is not. This must have been the most scariest time of there lives because there being attacked by different people that they don't know. They probably have felt the same emotions that I do except they have theirs in real life and we don't. An they weren't as excited as I was. Things would have been different because they don't have keyboards and mouses or blocks to protects them. There might be such a thing as a good war but, it depends on what your fighting for. If your fighting for freedom then it's good or, if there just attacking you then it's not a good war. In someways it's worth it because you could get revenge on the people in the city. Or you can destroy a city that kept on attacking you most of the times. But for this war it sort of worth it because you were pretty much fighting yourself but, then get back together in the end. So it was like a win win type of thing. I think that this was a very good simulator for a real war.

    PART A:
    (1) In the beginning I was an attacker. I was nervous and thought I would die as soon as we. I also thought we would surprise everyone as soon as we attacked.
    (2) In "Defend the Beacons" stage I thought I'd get at least one, but I got none. the good thing that happened was that we had TNT to blow up everything. The stuff that went badly was when people stared to die and had to go through the maze AGAIN!!!
    (3) When the Assyrians came in I started to die (a lot) I couldn't even focus on killing everyone, I started wondering what was killing me, so I stopped and started to kill the monsters. I got so scared when I say nothing and then I was dead or getting hurt by arrows.
(4)The emotions I felt were scared and amazed. I was amazed because of how we destroyed the city. My thoughts were "wow, we destroyed the city."

    PART B:
(1)The defenders would be the Egyptians because they were the ones being invaded.
The attackers would be the Kushites because they were the ones invading.
The monsters would be the Assyrians because they attacked both the Egyptians and the Kushites.
(2)It must have been terrifying for everyone.they would have felt the same emotions, but deeper and more pronounced. It would have been different because if you died you couldn't come back and there would be a lot more blood.
(3)There is no such thing as a "good war." War is never "worth it." All war does is kill, it kills everything. war is so chaotic that sometimes you don't know if you're fighting an ally or enemy.

  16. 1: During the beginning I was calm and relaxed... until the attackers came. I was a defender, and when the attackers came, I was very startled.
2: My first priority during the "defend the beacons" stage, was finding the beacons and fighting off the attackers.
3: When the monsters came I felt very anxious of how I was going to survive. I kept fighting the attackers and the monsters while planning my escape.
4: I was thinking that there was no going back, so I started to run away.
    1: Egyptians - Defenders
    Kushites - Attackers
    Assyrians - Monsters
2: I think that for those who lived through the actual conquest of Egypt, they were probably mentally scarred. I think that some may have felt how I felt (scared, but also wanted revenge).
3: I don't think that there is such thing as a good war. The war was not worth it, because in the end, no one ever actually won.

  17. Part A: My emotions at the beginning was pretty exciting i had to go and kill my friends. That got me excited i was going to surprise them. When i was going to attack i felt them when i attack i knew they would get mad. Everything went well with the beacons it got taken down very fast. when i saw the 3rd army i still continue the fight. why because i would rather get a human's reaction rather than a crazy monster in the game. my thoughts were that all the hard work was all for nothing, but in real life it would mean the whole world to me. my feelings were sad, but happy because i had an reaction from my friends. At the end everyone had fun! Part B: The Egyptians would be the defenders because they would be the place that is in good mood and place. Kushites is the attackers because they would be the main attackers they attack Egyptian. The assyrians would be the monsters beacuase they would be the 2nd attackers. The real people that went through that war in real life I would feel very sorry for them. I think they would they would think the same. I don't think their is a good war beacuase If you win you would lose people and the destruction from it would be bad. If you loss they bad thing is that you would be the one would get taken over by another civilization.-Eddy Amesquita

  18. part A 1: while we where being attacked I was with haroon we were just running then i got killed instantly.

2: the defend part of the activity went very poorly we were defenseless they slaughtered us.

3: when the other army came I was confused I thought someone did it for fun I didnt team up or continue fighting the attackers to put it in words I went rouge, I killed then i ran.

4: I didnt care but ill put it as if it were real. when i looked over my work in ruin felt depressed knowing that all my work was destroyed without a regret in their mind it was depressing.

part B 1: the Egyptians would defenders the kushites are the monsters and the Assyrians were the attackers.

2:they wouldn't feel the same because too me you can just build it again in mine craft in real life that would be traumatizing.

3:sometimes war is beneficial if they are to defend your self or people

  19. 1.In the beginning of the attack I was surprised and wondering why we got attacked. If I was the attacker I would be feeling like i be traded my people. When the attackers came I knew that I should get prepared to defend the village that we built.

2.My thoughts was that I had to go to a beacon and defend it from the attackers. What went well was that I killed the attackers that tried to get the beacons.what went bad was that I got spawn killed and I had to go through the maze.

3.When the spawns came in I just kept and trying go for the people not the spawns because I would get too distracted. But i kept fight even with the spawns.

4.When I looked over I thought what happened to the place we built and all the hard work we did.

    1. Part B:1. the Egyptians would be the people who built the place and got attacked
    2. The kushities would be the defenders
    3. The Assyrians would be the attackers

2.It must of felt really sad because they all worked really hard to build so many building then they got attacked. And yes i feel like we would of went through the same emotion they did too because we did the same as they did.Nothing was different because we got attacked at a time we would of never expected and lost many things.
3.No there is not a thing such as a good war because either way you have things getting destroyed and having people passing away. The war was not worth it because so many damage was done.

  20. In the beginning I was confused, when the kids had their heads down. when I first got killed by a someone with Diamond Armor I thought someone got diamonds when we were in creative mode and made armor.then when I came back I realized it was Joe who had their head down earlier. The defend the beacons was okay, I didn't really get to play because I kept dying. What went well was I killed one of them when they were on one heart. What went bad was I only lasted 5 seconds. when the monsters came in it was easy to play because I stopped fighting. The attackers were now fighting the monsters so I could get away. Our city was the least destroyed at the end. The attackers didn't do anything it was the monsters (mostly creepers).

We would be the Egyptians because or city was ruled over. The attackers would be the Kushites taking over our city. It must have been very stressful knowing that they could get attacked. They could have felt like it was unfair. I felt the fight was unfair too. They could have felt betrayed if it was a country they were friends with. War is never worth it because people die either way. If you are attacking at least one of your people would die

  21. Part A: Your own reaction

In the beginning of the our last day of minecraft, we had people in full armor with swords. My emotions in the beginning are almost unexplainable. The best way I can describe my emotions is by saying I was frustrated. As soon as I died, I spawned in a peculiar hall, where I couldn't escape, and attackers started to appear, and I just froze, questioning what I was supposed to do. Attackers kept killing everyone, and I was so confused on what was happening and I didn't know what to do. I soon found out we were representing a war. We had to defend the beacons so we could win the war, but I'm pretty sure no one was defending, everyone just ran and hid. Basically, nothing had went well, and everything had gone down hill. Also, when everything was already worse for the defenders, Mr.Dunn added another challenge, the monsters. But I just kept doing what I was doing since the very beginning, I ran and hid. I did this because I knew I couldn't stand a chance against the attackers. The aftermath of the civilization was tragic, blocks were destroyed, hard work has gone to an end, and nothing stood the same. I can't imagine what it was like for the Egyptians.

Part B: Application to Social Studies

The defenders would have been the Egyptians because the Egyptians weren't prepared and so were we. The attackers would be the Kushites because Kush attacked Egypt. The monsters would have been the Assyrians because Assyria attacked after Kush.
This must've been a very hard time for Egyptians because they actually had to fight against Assyria and Kush, and they are in actual danger. Their emotions would have been very similar to our emotions this day, but even stronger since they were in real life. After today, there is no "good" war. War wasn't even worth all the lives that have been taken when we all could have lived in peace. I really enjoyed our last day of minecraft!

  22. First of all at the beginning when I got attacked I was very confused. Second at the beginning of the defend the beacons it got off to a bad start when I blew one up trying to escape a hoard of zombies. Third when the monsters came in I tried to use the monsters to try to get the attackers. Last I admit I was disappointed to see the city go but I thought it was kind of cool to see that most the important stuff survive after a hard fought battle.

  23. #1- As an attacker, I felt super excited because we secretly planned out the attack. Also leading up to the moment was really overwhelming.

#2- Also as an attacker, we were more destroying the beacon. I found that fun because you had to execute the villagers and destroy all beacons to earn victorious.

#3- When the monsters joined the battle I thought of them as a obstacle in my way of the villagers. I mostly ignored them.

#4- When I looked over the ruins I confirmed my job well done because the beacons were destroyed and there were no sight of the villagers.

#1 B- I saw the villagers as the egyptions because they were the growing city and the Kushites as the attackers because they were the first threat and the monsters as the assyrians because they were last.

#2 B- It must have felt the same way the villagers did as they were attacked. Just like the villagers the egyptions weren't ready for attack.

#3 B- I think all war is dreadful and not good at all. But in the end the winner defenitly thinks its worth it because they are awarded for what they fought for.

    Sincerely,
    Joe Aiello

    1. Joe, you expressed a lot of emotions while playing Minecraft as an attacker. I was also looking for connections to social studies.

  24. Part A.
    1. In the beginning, when the attackers first started attacking, I was very confused and a little annoyed, because I didn’t understand what was going on yet, and I was annoyed because I thought a few people were just killing everyone for the fun of it. Soon I realized we were being attacked, and I was initially very panicked, because I thought we didn’t stand a chance, since they had armor and weapons and we weren’t prepared for an attack at all.
    2. *cough* Well… Maka, Amirah and I didn’t exactly focus on defending the town, instead, Maka was digging a hole and then I fell in and I just stayed in there, and we let Amirah in later… We did make a pretty cool room though, I had gold and torches and Maka had watermelon. The room was reinforced by gold incase anyone tried to get in, it was lit up by torches, we had food to eat, and Maka even had paintings to decorate the room. So I guess that went pretty well. As for what went badly, well, we were just chilling in our room while everyone else was dieing trying to defend our town… so I guess that was kind of bad…
    3. Um... We were still in the hole when the monsters came out… We didn’t fight at all… We kind of just sat back and let the town and the other players die… oops.

    Part B.
    1. - The Attackers would be the Assyrians, because just like the attackers attacked the defenders, Assyria attacked Kush.
    - The defenders would be the Kushites, because just like Kush had to defend the
civilization from Assyria, the defenders had to defend their town from the attackers.
    - The monsters would be the Egyptians, because once they came, the attackers
and defenders had to work together to defeat them, similar to Assyria and Kush working
    together to defeat Egypt.
2.) It was probably traumatic to see the town be swept right out from under their feet, especially if it’s right when you think everything's going well and life is great. Not to having to fight, when you aren’t prepared whatsoever. I think they most likely wouldn’t have felt the same emotions I did, because I was just chilling in a hole the whole time. I think we cheated…
3.) I don’t think there is such thing as good war. After all, people are dying, towns are being demolished, I don’t think it is worth it. Maybe in the end, one civilization gains control over the other, but I don’t see the point in that either. It would clearly be easier if everyone lived in peace. Also, when people go to war for supplies and stuff, that’s kind of really dumb and kind of immature that two countries couldn’t trade things without having to start a literal war. It would be a lot easier and more peaceful if they just sorted it out without taking thousands of lives.

  25. In the beginning of the Minecraft thing I was kind of worried because like half the people in our class were gone and they were all good at Minecraft. Also we were told that today was the last day that we could finish our civilization today. When the attackers came and attacked us in surprise, I acted in surprise, because I wasn't ready for it and I couldn't defend myself from the attack.
When we were supposed to defend the beacons it was a challenge, but kind-of easy. It was a challenge because when I got out of the maze I was already getting attacked. Also there were monsters killing us and destroying our property. And the second time I died and went to heaven the maze was full of water with took a long time to come out of. It was easy because the first time I went through the maze there was no water and it was easy to get out of the maze. When he third army came it was hard because we had to defend ourselves and our buildings. I didn't know how to fight because they're were more armies and attacking so I TRIED to fight who attacked me.
When I looked at the destroyed city I felt upset because ewe spent days working on the city, and it was gone in like an our. And the people who helped build the city also helped destroy the city they helped build.
I think we're the Assyrian empire because we didn't build on a mountain we built on flat land.
The group that built their civilization on the mountain is Kush, and the civilization that made their city on flat and is Assyrian.
It must have been very hard to live like that, because instead of days to build it might've taken months or years. I think they would feel some emotions that I felt, but it would've been different, because instead of being dead for a minute or two and take a maze back to life they stay dead.
I think there isn't a winner in war, because if you win the war the other side looses, if the other side wins you loose. And anyways both sides will be loosing soldier/friends, and they're practically destroying their own city and risking their own life to kill other cities and kill.

  26. Minecraft EDU is fun because we destroy city and run every where. My emotion were good during the beginning, because I was an attacker. I got to destroy the city and kill everyone so it was so fun, killing everyone was fun. Destroying the city was so fun it was easy because I had a sword, arrow, and TNT.TNT made everything easier by just filling up temples, library, and the Market place with TNT.

The feeling of leading up to the attack was feeling good, Because everyone in the attackers group including me had a plan by just hiding then suddenly running around killing everyone and exploding everything.

When the monsters came along I continued fighting the defenders and also when there was a monster in my way I killed him and kept going. It was easy because I kept hiding in places like underground around the places where the beakers were, then suddenly come out and kill people. sometimes the monsters helped me in the war by putting TNT everywhere then running then suddenly a creper explodes and make the TNT explode so the whole place explodes that is why.

My thoughts when I looked over the ruins of the city was that all the attackers did a great job,and that it looked cool.

In Mincraft the defenders were the Egyptions, the Kushites were the attackers, and the Assyrians were the 3rd army which is the monsters.

I think the defenders that lived through the actual attack were probably in pain, and maybe the attackers have felt the pain too. I think they would not feel same emotions. The thing that would be different is that we were having fun, and we would come back to life.

I think war isn't worth it because when you have war to invade land you make lots of distructions that would cost you more than the war. everything would fail if you have war, because has people did in it so there would not be enough people to fix every disaster. war has lots of costs maybe the people that you invaded there land could make another war while not prepared for it so they invade, the land that you invaded.

  27. Part A:
    1) In the beginning of Minecraft, my emotions were all over the place. I was trying to obtain food for myself until suddenly, I was hit and I died. When I was attacked, my mouth was open, and I was very confused. The attackers came out of nowhere and I had no idea who even killed me. On the other hand, the defenders were minding their own business.

    2) During the "defend the beacons" war, my main problem was getting out of the maze/heaven without getting caught and dying. Once I was out, I looked around to see if I could see any beacons, and then two seconds later I was dead.
What went well? Getting out of the maze/heaven once.
What went badly? I didn't get a chance to look for one beacon.

    3) When the third "army" came out, I was hiding and didn't even try to defend myself. The attackers were enough for me, so adding the monsters didn't help one bit. When I would look out from my hiding spot, all I saw were attackers and monsters.

    4) I was very surprised to see our town still standing, because our city was not damaged badly. From how much killing and war there was, our town or city was still standing with only a couple of little holes in the ground in some spots.

    Part B:
    1)
    Egyptians = Defenders
    Kushites = Attackers
    Assyrians = Monsters

    2) For people who lived through the actual conquest of Egypt, they probably felt nervous that it could happen to them at any time. The Egyptians could be in danger in any moment and they could die at any second. They would for sure feel some of the emotions that I had felt being in the moment. I was feeling were both angry and annoyed. The Egyptians probably felt sad that their city was getting destroyed when they worked so hard on building it.

    3) There is no such thing as a 'good war.' Given the destruction of our city and the amount of dead people, war is never 'worth it' because people want a chance to survive. The attackers came, killed all of us at once and didn't give us a chance. Even if we knew they were there about to attack us, it still would be hard for us to defend ourselves. They have diamond armor and a diamond sword, but we had nothing to protect us.

    1. Abby, from your blog post I can tell that the experience was an emotional one for you. You were able to make connections with social studies as well. Well done!

  28. PART A
1.) My emotions during the game were different at different times. When the attackers came I was thinking, "This isn't fair!" But as It went on we could fight back and defend each other and our civilization. I was also kind of mad during the middle when I started to see our civilization get burned down.

2.) My thoughts on the "Defend the beacon stage" wasn't anything really because during the stage of everyone getting out of the maze someone had filled the defenders side with water so by the time most of us got out they had gotten the beacons.

3.) When the monsters got involved many people went to hide, That didn't work very well for them because the attackers were also attacking the defenders. By the end many of the attackers started to hide as well so most of us all teamed up to fight the monsters.

4.) My thoughts as I looked over at the ruined city was "Well, That was a waste of time" but then I realized It wasn't and that all the stages had a purpose in Social Studies.

    PART B

1.) In the lesson the defenders would be the Egyptians. They would be the Egyptians because it’s as if they worked super hard on building their civilization only for it to get ruined.

The group that would be the Kush would be the attackers, They would be the Kush because the kushites fighted and created war.

The group that was the assyrians were the monsters because they came out of nowhere and everyone didn't know who to go after.

2.) I think it must have been 100 times harder for those who were involved in the actual conquest of Egypt, I do think they felt some of the same actions we did, Such as stress when our civilization was ruined. Some different feelings I think we had then them was that there defenders were actually getting killed (back then). But now when we died in the game we could respawn.

3.) I honestly don’t think that there is a point in war, In the end there is still soldiers/defenders killed, Also there is no point in saying who wins because there is still a lot of wreck all around them, So no I don’t think war should happen.

  29. My emotions during the beginning of the attack being an attacker was that it was intense. The defenders had no clue that we were coming and were very unprepared! Everyone on the attacker's side was hyped up. During the defend the beacons stage my thoughts were that we the attackers would be able to destroy the beacons. We were actually able to easily destroy the beacons in a short amount of time! When the third group of attackers ( the monsters ) came, it was very hectic. Although the monsters and the defenders were still there, it got even crazier. The attackers and defenders were still fighting though, some people were even hiding. My thoughts/emotions after looking over the destroyed city were okay. Before I became an attacker I helped build a building which was destroyed in the end.

I think the Egyptians would be the defenders because they were the ones being attacked by the other two groups. I also think that the Kushites would be the first group of attackers, because they were the first group to attack, and I would say that the Assyrians would be the monsters because they were the most powerful and had attacked last. I think for the people who actually lived through the conquest of Egypt it must've been to the point where if you think you're safe you have to look behind your back because there is something coming back. They probably would've felt similar emotions to me except way more realistic and multiple things would've been different such as the actual loss of human beings. Also such as real destruction made in the world. I do not think that there is truly a good war. Even if it is for peace there can still be un-peaceful events and loss of life. I think the war we had today was not worth it because there is other ways to handle problems besides war.

  30. At first I was fine as a defender but then after the attackers came I was a bit disappointed because I was completely unprepared. I was really worried about the "defend the beckons" stage because considering I am not very good at mind craft I was not much of a help. Nothing really went well because every time I got out of the maze straight away I was back in again. I was extremely overwhelmed when the second army came in because now it was even harder to survive but even so I still kept trying to fight both enemies because I was trying not to get killed by anyone. when I sow the city I was disappointed because we spent a lot of time making it.
Egypt would be the defenders because they had to defend. the Kushites would be the attackers because they were the first group to start attacking the Egyptians. The Assyrians were the monsters because they were the second army to start fighting. For those who lived through the actual conquest of Egypt must have bean sad because most were Killed and buildings were destroyed. They were probably feeling some of the same emotions as me, but instead of just dying we could go through a maze to be alive again. I don't think there is really a such thing as a good war. there was a lot of damage to the buildings and a lot of people got killed so I don't think war is worth it because you just loose more people and more buildings.

  31. I got really excited and hyped. We destroyed all the beacons really quick but at the end some cheater set them back up.I fought and killed most of the players at the start but when the mobs became a problem I fought THEM and killed most of the ghast.I got mad and landed on a ghast to kill it.The people would have probably left the city.

  32. In the last day of Minecraft, I was a defender. I started losing hearts and I didn't know what was going on. Then I realized, we were being attacked. I was freaking out because I didn't have a clue on what was happening. Being attacked was very unexpected, therefore, I had to think quickly and move very fast.
During the round of defending the beacons, it did not go that great for me. For example, I did not survive for long each time I exited the maze. I should have seeked a hiding place as soon as I got out, instead of running out in the open for everyone to be able to see me. On the other hand, I escaped the maze multiple times, so I had many chances to defend the beacons.

When the monsters intruded, I continued my attempt towards keeping the beacons safe. Even though they scared me, I still fought because if I didn't put any effort and just give up, then I would be useless, and disappoint my teammates. I kept on fighting the other team because I wanted to win. I wanted to beat the team with an advantage of armor and weapons.

The destruction of the city wasn't too bad, but it was slightly broken. The destruction after the “war” made me realize how violent and cruel it was back then with attacks from other groups of people. It's not that I was sad, but I was a little unhappy that our hard work had just gone to waste. We spent a long time working on it, and it got somewhat destroyed after the attack.

Looking back at previous lessons, we learned about the Egyptians, the Kushites, and the Assyrians. The defenders would be the Egyptians, the attackers would be the Kushites, and the monsters would be the Assyrians. The defenders would play the role of the Egyptians because they defended their territory. The attackers acted as the Kushites since they were attacking Egypt for their land. Finally, the monsters were similar to the Assyrians because they were the most powerful people and they attacked last.

Imagine those who lived back then in the conquest of Egypt. They probably felt ashamed and upset that they had lost and been conquered and taken over by another ruler. Being defeated by the attackers wasn't the best feeling to have. It was a little upsetting that we had lost, but it is nowhere comparable to Egypt’s loss. Now, obviously we have different emotions, since we just did a simulation task, but they are both upsetting.

Good war? No such thing to me. In my opinion, war is pointless. If you think about it, no one is actually happy and peaceful. Things change over time, therefore people will want a change in rulers, or even anything in society. Losing lives is not worth it to just “win”. No one will be happy because disappointment will chase after a family that suffers from a loss of a family member in war. The “losing” side obviously won't be satisfied with the new change. Nor will the winning side because they just made other people suffer.

  33. It was relay fun to try to defend our beacons from the attackers it was also hard and frustrating because I kept dieing. It was also annoying to pass the maze to.It got harder because Mr.Dunn spawned monsters but besides that I was hyped and had fun.It wasn't fair at first but then we came back and got even with the attackers. But how the city was destroyed it taught me that nobody wins in a war and we all get hurt.

Me and Milan went to hide and are beacons were destroyed. Then the monsters came and me and Milan went to the farm get food and make are own settlement away from are old one. Then garret chased us and mr dunn frozed us before he died. I thought we wasted all that time to get that beutiful settlement destroyed. The Defenders were the Egyptians because Mr.Dunn said they were. Also the kushites were the attackers because Mr.Dunn said that too. also the monsters were the Assyrians were the monsters because they randomly joined the battle. I feel bad for them because they spent along time building that then it just goes to waist.Yes because two of the different groups can team up on one

  35. 1) During this "Minecraft war" my emotions were vastly mixed. I was what you'd call a Kushite (attacker.) My emotions were mixed because it was very unbelievable that we could trick the defenders. Honestly I didn't think we could get our monitors on without anyone noticing. But we managed to do it successfully. I was the first one to attack. First I killed Jason and everyone went insane. "YO GARRETT JUST KILLED ME!" and "What the heck dude!" Everyone was confused so I knew the plan had worked. They freaked out like a herd of sheep spotting a wolf. That made me smirk.

2)The "Defend the Beacon" era was very overwhelming considering the Egyptians had gear and were prepared for us this time. Though I was more prepared as usual. You see I went ahead and read the builders paper and noticed a war was incoming! So I may have cheated you could say... I took the creative time to stock up with potions and food for the war. Yes I cheated a little you could say. But I consider it preparation. The paper specifically stated "Get ready for the upcoming war!" I used invisibility potions and took off my armour so no one could sot me. Then I stole a pickax from the miners chest and headed to the beacons. Then they were easily gone after that.

    3) That's when the mobs came in. Honestly they were distracting and overwhelming. Just because they're was plentiful of them. Though I used them to an advantage. I baited the ghasts to shoot the players following me. Also I used them to destroy the remaining beacons. I also looped players into a horde of zombies. What went well? The beacons were destroyed. What went badly? Nothing much actually. I didn't have to re-spawn which takes a lot of time i'm pretty sure

    4) To be honest I hated to see the destruction of the city. Especially my building that was burnt to ashes. There was no purpose at all. So much chaos, destruction and selfishness must have went on during the real war. That's something I don't want to experience.

Part B 1) The Kushites were the attackers for sure. They invaded Egypt in the first place. They took the advantage with no doubt at all. That advantage... was preparation. The Egyptians weren't prepared for an attack like that. Who would be? Not even the Kushites who attacked in the first place. The Egyptians (defenders) weren't prepared. Sure. But the Kushites weren't prepared either. I can't cont how many people died to the mobs. Others know them as the Assyrians. That's right. The cruelest of them all.

Part B 2) What emotions could've gone on during the real war? Pain, suffering, destruction, chaos ect. It's war! There is endless feelings going on. I can't describe them all. What would've been different? Respawning. Well unless your a meda-human and can respawn...

Part B 3) "Good war?" Are you kidding. Your kidding right? No. There is no good purpose for war or good war. It's selfish, destructive, and chaotic. So why would we promote it. That's right. We wouldn't.

Thank you for the exciting, great, accurate, on-edge activity. It really kept me on my toes. I love doing these activities and I hope we do it again.

  36. When the attackers came I felt like I wasn't able to defend myself and the village because I had no weapons or armor. I also thought it was unfair because they killed me in like 2 hits and the defenders were stuck hitting them with stuff. My emotions were just to survive and defend the village so we would win.
My thoughts during the defend the beacon stage was the we we going to loose because the attackers had an unfair advantage because they showed up out of know where and started killing everyone. I also tried to stay away from most of the attackers and tried to sneak around but that only worked for a little bit because around every corner was either an attacker or a monster.
When a third army came in I saw them as an even bigger threat and an obsticle we all had to overcome. When the monsters came I started attacking them more frequently and if an attacker wanted to fight me I fought back accasionaly.
My thoughts when I looked over the city was that it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be and I think that the monsters helped because everyone was probably more concerned about them instead of each other because they were spawning eveywhere.
I think that the defenders were the Egyptians because we we being attacked by all angles. I also think that the kushites would be the first gang of attackers because they attacked first and the assyrains would be the monsters because their attack caused more destruction and they had a numbers advantage and they were the strongest.
It would be scary and tromatizing. Also I wouldn't feel the same emotions compared to the accual Egypt attack because it is just a game and it took no one's life.
No because a lot of people die trying to defend or take property. Also just because you're win doesn't mean it was a good war because your could win and half of the city or village could be distroyed.

  37. I was an attacker. I was so excited while everyone else was doing their things and when we turned our monitors on, I just went straight into the attack. I had so much fun looking at the bottom left screen see deaths. At the beginning people were just confused but later later they realized they were under attack.
The defend the beacons was easy. The defenders didn’t have the correct tool to defend themselves from an attack. It was funny because we didn't know which beacons we had to destroy. There were about 80 of them in the city.
The monsters which were the third army wasn't bothering much for me. I had plenty food to fuel up my food bar so I was able to sprint around chasing people. At the end I would have to stop and take out the monsters because there were so many.
When it was all over. We all looked at our city. I almost started crying☹. All our hard work has been lost for just a battle. Our buildings have been destroyed in an instant. It seemed like the Apocalypse. Monsters were still roaming around shooting whoever stands in their path. It was very emotional.

  38. Since I was an attacker, I was pretty excited to attack the defenders and see and her reaction. We all put our heads down and tried our hardest to look like we just got yelled at and are in trouble. I personally was trying very hard not to laugh. Once Mr. Dunn said we could start to attack the defenders it was on. The defend the beacons stage was slightly harder than the first attack. A lot of the defenders didn’t put on their armour or have any sort of weapon that they were using to defend themselves. This made it easier. I thought for sure since they had a warning that we were coming, they would put up a fight. I noticed instead of fighting us straight on, they just started to put a bunch of mobs such as zombies and creepers around us so they would kill us. This definitely put a challenge on us attackers. Luckily the monsters walk slowly so I could simply run past them and kill the defenders.I didn’t stop fighting them because I knew that our time was limited and i had to just keep killing. I think the defenders could have done a better job trying to kill us so we couldn’t get their beacons. In the end I think we captured all of the beacons. The only thing that went badly was the fact that if the defenders did manage to kill you, that you had to go back through minecraft heaven to get back to where you were before. It was funny because we destroyed and killed them but in a way it was sad to think that in real life you can't just respawn or rebuild the city in 15 minutes. It was also sad to see the city that I b\as a past builder worked hard on. That is probably how the builders then felt.
The egyptians would be like the attackers because they had the most power. I think they would be able to attack people and be ready for an attack. The Kushites would be somewhat Finally the assyrians were be the monsters because they could fight off and help the Kushites. I feel most the emotions the people really felt back then are similar and different to the nes we felt. They are similar because we both had a sense of our stuff that w worked hard on would be destroyed. Itis different because we are just recreating in in minecraft. We could easily build everything that got destroyed backup in no time. If we died, we would hit respawn and join again. There was no respawn button for them. I would say majority of war is not good due to the fact that people lose their lives. If I was defender and it was real life i would say war is not really worth the risk of dying. Even as a attacker in real life the chance of dying was still there. -Emily E. (Barb)

  39. Since I was an attacker I was pretty excited to attack.the defended the beacons was easy we took all of the in a few minutes without trying. They put mobs in such as zombies, creepers, and skeletons which changed it a lot instead of fighting each other we had to work together. I was an attacker so I was kind of braking the building the buildings so. my emotions were what the heck I can't believe that we actually did that.

  41. In the beginning I didn’t believe that there were so many people sitting out so I was being very cautious, but right before the attackers, well attacked, I noticed they were playing minecraft with diamond swords so I started to run but someone killed me. Also when it came to the “defend the beacon” stage I didn’t pay much attention to the situation, so I didn’t really know what went bad or well. When the monsters came in it was a bit more difficult to fight the other players. Even though the city barely had any beacons left, we didn’t completely lose. When you apply the situation to social studies the defenders were the egyptians, I think this because the egyptians were focused on building their town and living in a peaceful time that they weren’t prepared for war like the defenders group. Also I think Kushities were the attackers because they were prepared to attack the defenders or aka the egyptians. Last but not least I think the assyrians were the monsters since they came and attacked both the kushities and the egyptians while they were fighting each other. I can’t even imagine how it was like for those who were in the actual conquest of egypt, but i'm sure it was devastating, lives were lost like in any modern day war, so it couldn't have been much different. Maybe the weapons and in general differences from modern day and ancient times were some differences. I don't necessarily believe there is such thing as a “good” war, but i’m sure there are pros and cons of a war. I mean i'm sure war is a bit “worth it” for the winner, but not so much the loser. Both armies loose lives, but only the winner gains a reward such as land. In conclusion, as far as the minecraft experience went, I spent most of my time in heaven, or running away from monsters and the attackers. Although I could apply what happened to social studies so I guess it is a win lose.

  42. Part A1: I was an attacker and at fist I was worried what was going to happen but once I got in to it I was so exited about attacking the village and people.

AS I said before I was an attacker, but if I was an defender I would have been scared and shocked at the same time because I didn't want to die even if its just a game and I was shocked because out of nowhere people just came up to us and attacked us. :)

A2:I didn't really have thoughts because all I wanted to do was kill people:)

What went well is we almost got all the beacons we had one more and I was proud.

What went badly was when all the monster came and there was a lot so we had to try to get away from them and remind you they were everywhere.

A3:When the monsters came I felt pressured and scared because I had to get the beacons kill the defenders and I had to do while I was being chased by a whole bunch of monsters.

I didn't stop actually, I kept fighting the other players even though we should have worked together I kept fighting them. The reason why was because I was having to much fun and I didn't ant to stop. :)

A4: When I saw the town ruined I thought it was cool that we destroyed our town just by fighting, but on the other half of me I was mad because we made this we took our time into this and now it is destroyed.

Part2: Egyptians-Defenders because its their town and they have to defend it
Kushite's-Attackers because they have to attack the Egyptians to steal their stuff
Assyrians-Monsters because once the Kushite's are fighting the Egyptians the Assyrians can take everything

B2: It must have been awful because they had to go through all of the people trying to either kill them or take their stuff.

They would not really feel the same emotions like me because I know its not real and I'm not dying ,but in real life its either you die or run away with nothing.

What different is in Minecraft your not actually dying but in real life you don't come back to life.

B3: I think their is a good war out their. I think that if you work something out with the both of you agreeing then there can be a ''good war''

I really don't think "WAR" is worth it because what's the point of insist people dying.

  43. A1) My emotions in the beginning were a little nerve-racking because me ( Attacker ) I wasn't sure if any of the defenders would attack me back. If I wasn't new to Minecraft I would have different emotions.
A3) When the third attackers came in I hid in a secret hallway in one of the shelters. Some of the defenders would come in and I still killed them because I didn't know if they would kill me to.
A4) My reaction of seeing my city was really shocked and upset because the bakery that my group and I made was burning down.
B1) The assyrians were the defenders because the assyrians where the ones who got attacked. The Kushites would be the attackers. The Assyrians would be the monsters because they where horrible like the Assyrians.
B2) If I had been the Egyptians in real life I would have been horrified and have way more emotions then I did because I knew it was a game. One thing that I would change is that I wouldn't hide I would try to help other people get to safety before me.
B3) I don't believe that there is a good war because if there was a good war there wouldn't be any point in having a war, like can't you just TALK IT OUT.

  47. i was excited since i was an attacker . the defend the beacon stage was easy because we wiped out the defenders easily we looked for the beacons and took them we had no problems. when the third army came the defenders and attackers came together to tried to kill the third army. even though i was an attacker and had tnt and used i felt upset because all the hard work was destroyed. the egyptians were the defenders because they were trying to defend egypt.the attackers were the kushites because we attacked egypt .the mobs were the assyrian because they came out of no were like when the mobs were placed out of no were. it must of been hard your home being attacked two times.i feel like they would feel the same emotions . i would work together to take out one group. i dont think war is not good desturction of homes lifes and people is not nessacary war is not worth it.

  48. I think the Eygptians would be the defenders because they were attacked by the Asryains, but we didnt read about the Eygptians attacking the Asryains.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I think the Kushiets were the monsters because as I said before we mostly read about how the Asryians came to Eygpt, but then the Kushites can in.

  50. I think the Assryians were the attackers because they attacked the Egyptions.

  51. It must've been extremley hard to be in actual war when us as sith graders were struggling with it as a game. I know for a fact at leat one Egyption had to agree with me when I say getting snuck up on is one of the most annoying things ever! I got so mad, but then again in the game if we died all w had to do was go through a maze and respwan but in real life you dn't get a secomd life. Our reaction to the Egyptions reaction are totally different because in the game when everyone got the chance to wear armour and have a weapon by having someone give it to us, but that is WAY different then actually finding the materials, and having the time to create it while there was a war going on without getting hit by a sniper.

  52. There is no such thing as a "good war." The only way a good war would happen is if nothing got damaged, nobody got killed, and there was n violence. But is that really a war? No it's not so it's not worth it to have a war and win because there is still damage that you have to fix, many people have either lost their lives or are severley injured. So no there is no such thing as a "good war"
and it doesn't matter what goes on in the war, it still and will never be worth it

  53. My emotions were kind of suspicious of how the attackers on the other side of the room,I thought that they were in trouble or something.3 minutes after we got on the computers I slightly turn my head to the other half of the room and I get a glimpse of crowds wearing diamond armor and wielding diamond swords. Then bam Im running with my life unarmed with nothing but a wooden axe.During the defending the beacons stage I felt like i was useless because whenever I would hit somebody the entire army of attackers would come sprinting after me so i was not able to defend the beacons. What was good about t was how the mobs attacked both groups so the attackers hid somewhere making them not being able to attack us.When the monsters came to the party i just tried to just defend myself and my city because I didn't want all of our great work to go to waste. When I saw the way the city had turned out I was devastated only just to find all our great hard work go to waste. The kushites were the attackers Egyptians were defenders and the assryans were the monsters. The Egyptians were probably more devastated then I was because they did physical work for a long time then the Assyrians and the kushites destroyed it.I think that there can be a good war because it helps you increase your defenses so then your less likely to be attacked.

  54. I was a defender and when the attackers had their heads down i was wondering what they got in trouble for, then some of them joined the game and started attacking people and i tried to hide, but died.I felt that when the monsters joined everything became harder and everyone was trying to work together as a team.I thought we worked so hard on this city ,and now it's just ruined.

  55. 1).My emotions were scrambled. They were everywhere, I couldn't just pick one.I was feeling adrenaline running, excitement. I loved the rush of being able to ambush the defenders without them knowing.2).My emotions were idk........ I was just excited for the whole ambush thing.I was thinking this was going to be easy,Because me and sean were right next to a beacon.Altogether me and sean got about 5 beacons in all.3.) I was still fighting some people when the monsters came. Then i noticed that a lot of monsters were spawning so i decided to ask people if they wanted to team up. NO one listened so i just kept on dying.4.) My thoughts were all of this good work for nothing. It felt like a waste of time.We built everything up so just in the end it could all fall at our feet in defeat. THe Egyptians were the defenders because they were in a civilization. The Assyrians were the attackers because they lived outside the civilization and they ambushed. Last but not least the monsters were the Kushities because they ambushed the Egyptians and the Assyrians.2.) it must have been crazy because they probably were never expecting it.

  56. 1)When I first started to go into battle I felt like I was going to wipe out everybody in the city because I had a lot of armor, and I had good weapons that were very powerful.2)I thought it was going to be easy. I also thought that I wasn't going to be killed by anyone too.3)It was hard because at first everyone was still fighting each other instead of the monsters, but when everyone started to work together it was way easier.

  57. My emotions were pretty calm and collected during the attack but I was laughing because the defenders were freaking out. the defenders were the Egyptians the monsters were the Assyrians and the attackers were the kushites.

    ReplyDelete
  58. My emotions during me attacking were pretty confident, I was also pretty confident in all the attackers since we are a very good team. During when we were trying to get the beacons, all of us were a little frantic while we were trying to collect the beacons. No,I don't think war is ever a good war because war is caused by arguments. The Kushites were the attackers, the Assyrians were the Mobs, and the Egyptians were the defenders.

  59. 1 i thought that we were going to build more and i was surprised when the attack happened.
2 i thought it was fun and we defended for a while but they eventually destroyed them
3 when the monsters came in i still fought for a while but then i teamed up with attackers
4 i was very upset because we all worked very hard and it was very difficut
    5 egyptians=defenders kushites=attackers assyrians=monsters
6 it must have been very difficult
7 i do not think that war is worth it because those people have family and friends that love them.

  60. 1)leading into the attack i felt excited because i wanted to slaughter people and in the attack it was super fun because we got to kill people

2)The thing that went well was that all the attackers got the beacons super easy. the thing that went bad was that the defenders did not block the beacons

    3) I started to fight again but every time i started to kill someone the monsters killed me

    4) MY thoughts and emotions when i saw the city that was ruined i felt super sad because we did all the work just to get destroyed

    B

1)it was the defenders because they tried to defend their city and their self but the kushites attacked them 1)The attackers would be the kushites because they were the attckers 1) the assyrians were the 3rd team because the assyrians came and wiped everyone out and so did the zombies(3rd team)

    2) it was like the conquest because a bunch of people died.they would have the same emotion because they didnt want to get killed but they would feel worse because it was real life for them.

3)it is worth it because they wanted to end something and someone didnt. There is no such thing as good war because in every war somebody ends up dieing.

  61. Part A: My emotions were mixed. The two emotions mixed were nervous and scared. Even though i was a attacker i still felt nervous because i didn't want to get killed.
    2. My thoughts during the defend the beacon part was "okay I can't get killed" and "I have to get that beacon" so it was kind of another mixed thought thing. We got some beacons or all but I cannot remember but it was successful. What went bad was I didn't get any of the beacons and I was slain by someone.
3.When the other attackers came in we were fighting because I think we were all in shock and didn't know what to do, at least i didn't. I would have stop fighting if i got a heads up.
4.When i saw the outcome of the city I was sad because all that hard work was turned into hiding places and it was ruined. I wish we joined forces and went against the monsters instead of turning on each other.
    Part B:
    1. I think the Egyptians would be the defenders because they were being attacked
I think the kushites were the attackers because we attacked egypt
I think the assyrians were the monsters because they were known as monsters
    2. I think they're emotions of Egypt were the same as my emotions because the were not prepared and in shock
3.I only think there is such thing as good war if you called a truce.I don't think war is nessecery , I don't think it's good if you don't call a truce

  62. 1.I thought during the beginning that are civilization would be prepared for an attack. 2.During the defend the beacons story I thought it would be easy but it wasn't. The civilization held up during the defend the beacons. Though they held up we still were able to be defeated like there was a weakness. 3. When a third army attack I felt like we needed to work together. I didn't stop fighting the other players. I continued because I thought if we got the other civilization out we could take out the monsters.4.When I looked over the ruined city I thought that all are hard work went down the drain.5.I think the civilization that was originally attacked were the Egyptians because they were not prepared for an attack. I think the actual attackers were the Kushites because they had swords and armor for protection. I think the monsters were the Assyrians because as we were battling the monsters came in and took everybody out. 6.I think the people who were in Egypt during this time were surprised when they were attack as they were not prepared. They would have not felt the same emotion as I did. The attackers and defenders wouldn't continue to fight they would team up. There is no such thing as a good war. This war was not worth it a lot of innocent people lost there lives during this war.

  63. My feelings during the whole event was running out of the city, but a idiot like me just stayed inside the sleeping quarters only getting killed And having my pet squid Bob killed by arrows. My thoughts and emotions were rage, fear, and nervousness. The group of the defenders are the Egyptians because they were the one having their land being taken from them. The attackers were the Kushites because they were raiding the Egyptian civilization. The mobs were the Assyrians because they were the ones who took out all of the groups. These were the thoughts and feelings about this project.

  64. 1) My emotions during the beginning were to just run because I thought that the attackers were actually in trouble because the teachers said they were in trouble.
    2) My thoughts when I had to defend the beacons were to hide in the sleeping quarters because I would not have died . When I got hungry I would sneak to the farm and take some potatoes and carrots. After they found me and chased me out where I was killed by a ghast.
    3) When the third army came in we stopped fighting becaus ewe felt that they would of wiped all of us out.
    4) My thoughts and emotions when we saw the remains of our city was is this all of our hard work. It was all gone after one single war.
    5) The Egyptians were the defenders because they were the weaker army. The second army was the Kushites which were the attackers because they had a plan and were slightly stronger army. The third army was the Assyrians because they joined the war when both armies were tired and were really strong.
    6) They must have been super scared because they were defenseless. Also they must have been heartbroken since they saw the remains of the city.
    7) No I dont think that there is such thing as a good war only because people are dying and they are destroying the cities. No, war is not worth it because people are dying and if people are risking their life to kill others.

  65. Part a :1.)Emotionally I felt trapped. I was unprepared ,and under pressure. As a defender you would think my first reaction would be to defend my empire and be a hero. Well the problem with that is it is nearly physically , and mentally impossible for me to be or do anything I said earlier. Instead, I coward into a hole and there I stayed(with food).

2.)During the phase when we were supposed to "defend" the beacons my "defense" strategy was to hide, in a reinforced golden hole.I think it all went well ,but the first hole I dug was not dressed from the right occasion my first whole was wearing a ball gown in a war zone which did not end well.Though I had previously failed I followed a new dress code for this occasion which was equipped with a solid gold ceiling.

3.)I wish I could have saw our "remodeled" city ,but I was still trembling in my hole.

    Part b:
I believe we the defenders were the Egyptians because we were under attack by the attackers who represented the kushites , and the monsters symbolized the Assyrians that joined in the midst of the war between Egyptians(defenders) vs. the Kushites (attackers).

2.) I reckon that the Egyptians felt the same emotions we felt ,but 10x the way we felt. They could not be cowards and hide in a hole because if they were found and brutally slaughtered they could not re-spawn into a maze. They couldn't hide in a hole ,but they could surrender and become prisoners of war which were primarily used as slaves/laborers.

3.) I believe war might be a good thing ,but also can end in tragedy.Reason being, war can be looked at like an exam or test. If your “team” wins you have passed the test . Good job!If you did not chances are you didn’t strike with strategy causing you to fail.Next time you should study before you attack because you can’t change the damage that had been done.So in some cases war is “worth it” ,but usually isn’t necessary.
