6th Grade Minecraft Day 3

Please answer the following:

1.  How did adding night/enemies affect your ability to survive?
2.  What did you use for shelter and how did it work?
3.  If we were to proceed into civilizations, how can we use Minecraft to simulate the other needs of a community?

  1. Adding Night and Enemies made it a TINY bit harder, but more fun! There was more of a challenge! I didn't even die! Personally, I used wood planks, and windows. We used windows so we could see upcoming enemies. And wood because it's simple and easy to build. For number 3, if we wanted to have a sense of community, you could add a big enemy for us all to fight. Then, we would have to work together, and find strategies, and jobs for each person to defeat the enemy at hand. BYE!

  2. 1)it made surviving harder because the mobs would try to attack and kill us

    2) the shelter wasn't helpful because we (me and gaurav) had dig under ground and we couldn't find the shelter anywhere so we kept dying of mobs

    3) we can make diamonds and emeralds money and make shops to buy materials and make houses next to each other so that traders can trade for what they don't want to get what they want.

  3. 1) The night forced us to build a shelter and brace ourselves for an attack this made it harder to have a stable food supply from all the animals.

    2) I used the shelter to help my friends and keep me safe at knight i also made a mine inside and got iron boots to kill some monsters and i worked we defended our house

3)we could use minecraft like a village we could build our houses near each other everyone would have jobs like getting food or being warriors to fend off the monsters or invaders.Or maybe we could trade with each other

    ReplyDelete
  4. 1)it was easy because i have played mine craft but every one else had a hard time that did not know how to play . it was alright because my team knew how to protect are selves. we had plenty of diamonds so we can trade

    1. Adding adding day and night help me die more easily. I used my resources around to make shelter. If it was a cilivation I would put guard in front of them fencer that I would put up. Nobody will be able too get in unless they know the password

    2. 1. It was a little bit hard to have night because we had to build a house and protect ourselvs from the monsters.
      2. We used wooden planks and we dug a tunnel to put our furnaces in and sit until night was over.
      3. By trading and creating jobs.

  5. It made it a little bit easier actually because it pushed us to try and play harder
I used wooden planks and they worked perfectly for my shelter

  6. 1.adding night and enemies affected our ability to survive on the stage before this we did not have to worry about building shelter, on this stage having enemies and not having proper shelter can be deadly. Also if you do not have food and its dark and you have enemies, you can not go out and get more food because you can die.
2.I dug a whole in a ground and then covered the whole up with dirt. It worked well because by covering it up the "enemies" could not tell I was down there.
    3. We could make jobs. This would help us simulate what they had to do back then because they were in groups and everyone had a job like basket weaving.

  7. 1. Adding night to minecraft was a little bit harder and harder to survive with the monsters. 2. What I used for shelter was a cave and did not work out well I realize monsters where there killing me. . 3. If we used civilizations we could attack a huge monster all for one and one for all.

  8. Adding night time didn't make much of a difference because you have made shelter to protect you from monsters out at night so I think adding monsters didn't make much of a difference to survive. I used a cave for shelter we used a door to block the entrance and dirt to block the other side of the cave it worked well because nothing could get in our house besides lily. If we created a civilization we could split up into the 3 groups one of the groups can focus on Killing and farming animals the second group can focus on cooking the meat the first group had and the last group can focus and building houses for every one in the civilization.

  9. 1.The night time enemies affected our ability to survive because the enemies thought it was easier to attack ta night so that we could not see them when they came.
2.I used wood from the trees to build a shelter near a forest and it worked by not letting the enemies or any one inside to attack me.
3.If we proceed into civilization,we can use minecraft to simulate what type of shelter they used, the things they used to travel, the type places they lived in,how they communicated with each other, and the type of things they used to survive longer.

  10. 1) Night and monsters affected how we survived by causing us to have to build a shelter and have food before night came.
    2) For shelter i made a wood house. It worked by we would have all the stuff inside the house that we needed to survive.
    3) in minecraft you can make a big village for people to live in. You can also put monsters in the game as another civilization.

  11. (1) the enemies made it little harder. You couldn't just stay outside with out a shelter or you will die. (2) I made a shelter out of wood planks and next to a tree so it will be easier. It worked pretty good so no enemies attacked me. (3) If we continue, I think minecraft can go into social studies again because we can build multiple mesopatania empires and attack other empires to see who can be the best empire!

  12. 1) The night forced us to get materials faster and enough food. Another thing was that it persuaded us to build shelters to protect ourselves
    2) Me and Cody both used a mini cave and it worked perfectly. We didn't have to worry about getting materials because we just built a wall to block off the monsters. We went to make the cave of awesomeness and because of the free time we had stacks of food and plenty of wood. We had enough to make a chest, torches, door and some steps to put as a fake couch.
    3) IF we were to proceed in civilization the people will need food. With that people would want money so everyone would sell or grow an object or food. It would be very smart for everyone to build houses in a town because then when a mob or intruder comes they could easily kill them as a group. We could also use minecraft to show how people felt to be in a town back then like was it safe? How did they feel and etc.

  13. It way pretty easy because we had shelter and were we were no enemies attacking were me and vincent built our house.

we used plank wood and made a house out of that and had two furnaces so we could make more food at the same time and i gave vincent what he didn't have.

we can go to a village and trade with the villagers and make friends with them and make friends and help our classmates by giving them supplies and have and king archer towers and a big moat to protect us against most enemies.and to give food to the needy.

  14. Well it was pretty easy this time because we had more tools we could work together and we had shelter but the hard part was when it got bark and every thing the monster's started to come out and me and the people I was working with we did have food and we were poisoned but ower shelter was built so we get food later on and we got better from that poisoning and the best part was I got to fight the monster's a litte bit so...IT WAS SO FUN!!!

  15. Nights enemies actually affected the difficulty of mine craft. It sure did make thing very difficult. when you were fighting off enemies you would loose4 hunger wile doing it. For shelter i used a wooden house that was two blocks tall with a block on the inside to get over. Since the mobs other than the spider were not a problem. If we continued to play mine craft we could simulate the structures that were built during the early civilizations.

  16. The night and enemies affected because you had to make a shelter and enough food for you to eat and you can die from the enemies.I used wood for the shelter and it worked good because any item you basically you use will help at the shelter thing whether it is digging a hole or just building a house type of thing.Maybe we can have a group of people and one of the group attacks and you are trying to save your people and your home from other people.

  17. Night time affected our ability to survive because of how there were monsters at night and we had to protect our selves. For shelter I used wood planks and just made a box for myself to live in during the night. We can use minecraft to simulate the other needs of a community by making a small village so we all can work together.

  18. 1.) adding night mode to minecraft was a tad bit harder because you would run out of food and would have to go out side to hunt, and the monsters come out at night. Well they are not monsters they are the other groups that come out to start war.2.) i made a dirt house for shelter and i was better than nothing. i mean i got sick from having what i think dirt all around me and not that much air.3.) we could use minecraft for civilzation because we could all stick together and make shelter to service. BYE MR.DUNN!

  19. 1.The enemies/night affected my serial alot. They affected my several because in the night time the enemies came and tried to kill you. It also affected my serival because it was night time everything was dark so, I couldn't see animals when you needed food. You would need to build a shelter to protect your self. It took a while to build but at the end it was all worth it because no one could kill you or take your food.
    2. For shelter I dug a deep hole under ground. I worked out amzing because the hole could be as big as i wqnted it to be so, you could make and have many things inside. Then you could put the dirt blocks you collected from digging on the top to make a roof. So,no enemies got in. Plus you could cook inside as well. It is really hard to get out so I made sure I killed lots of animals and get plenty of meat to eat.
    3. We should all make a village and houses to live in. Places to shop for house hold things that we would need like wood. So, then if an enemie came they could all defete the enemie all together.

  20. 1.) Day 2 done. Phew that was tough! Uh-oh, day three is even harder! Even though we got time to set up camp for the night, we ended up having to go out and find more food! Also, when you make a home it practically chains you down. We are still hominids and now we are Neanderthals I think,,that means we are still nomads and when you had a house you had to keep going back to it. When you added mobs it made life a LOT more stressful! At night your constantly paranoid if there's a mob outside and when you see one you see one you run in the other direction...WHAM! There another mob and everyone screams!ahhhhhhhhh!(it's a silent scream) And so you find yourself running back to base and starving.
2.) Me Cassidy and Naomi made a tree house ... it was okay. As much as I LOVE the tree house it was a work in progress, it had no roof and I kept forgetting what tree it was in!!(lol) And even WORSE some people couldn't tell that we were BUILDING A HOUSE HERE and kept cutting down the tree's! (Oak planks I a TREE come on now, could you not see that!) We didn't have a door so we just used dirt.it was not easy to get in and out of so I just went outside and tried to find food for my starving family. The shelter protected us from mobs but not from starvation.
3.) OH MY GOSH IF WE WERE TO MAKE A CIVILIZATION SO MUCH WOULD CHANGE!!!! If we all worked together at first we would have a group of people go hunt, then get some start to plant crops, others get wood and make torches, and before you could say minecraft we would have ourselves a little city- state! But in times of waf, when the great leader of the mobs declares war, we will turn on battle mode! A select group of expirenced miners goes down deep to get precious stone, other will use those materials and make swords, arrows, armor and forts! Another group might even go out and catch horses! We send or troops out and be victorious! (You know why, because we can always respwn):) I think minecraft is the perfect way to show civilization, alma s evolving and learning new things!
(Ps. Mr. Dunn I don't think any one has minecraft pocket edition but if you do there is this amazing seed that looks a lot like Egypt! It has villages, farms and temples!it's -355602562

  21. 1)Adding night/enemies affected our ability to survive because it was pretty hard to fight them because they would hit you back and it would lose your hearts. It was also tough to make your house from scratch because you had limited time to build it because if you didn't then monsters or enemies will probably kill you.For my situation I thought it was easier to work together with someone to build the house get the food ect.

2)I used shelter to protect myself from enemies or monsters that were trying to kill me.I also used it to set down the furnace and crafting table so that I could craft tools and even cook the food. It worked really nice because I had someone to live with and help with multitasking that made it a lot easier to complete the goal.

3)We could probably build our houses like a community or neighborhood and live and have jobs.We could also build schools and office buildings. Also we could have different jobs like some people can be miners some can be farmers and some can be traders.

  22. 1) Having enemies and night time was a little more difficult to survive. You had to be really fast to get a lot of food and materials to build your house. It was a struggle to build the house under pressure. After night came upon us, my partners and i stayed in our shelter through out the night. the enemies were strong and hard to fight off. In the end my partners and I survived.
    2) My partners and i used wood planks and sand to build our shelter. We made 2 rooms for our furnace and our crafting table. Our shelter was sturdy and hard to enter and leave because we put cactus around our door so no enemies could get in. Then we covered our door in wood.
    3) You can build shelter and gather food just like you can in real life. You can make money in Minecraft as well. You can get diamonds and emeralds. That is like money in Minecraft because you can trade them for useful things. You can trade in real life and get useful things as well as stuff you want. You can communicate in real life and in Minecraft as well. Communication is key when building shelter and gathering food and materials because if you are lost or dying you can communicate and figure out what to do.

  23. Adding night and enemies abilities affected us to survive because we had to hunt and gather food and build our own shelter. Also we had to make sure we did not get killed and they wouldn't take our food while we was hunting. What I used for shelter is brick.I had to dig up sand first so I can insert the bricks so it will stay.I had to do that by putting the mouse on the brick then right clicking it then putting it anywhere you want it.We can do it by gathering the things we need to survive. What we need to survive is food and shelter they are the main things we will need to survive.

  24. 1)Adding night enemies affected us surviving because they would kill you, and you had to be prepared before sun set when I say prepared I mean you have to have a shelter and you had to have food but you also have to cook food all before sunset. 2)Me and my partner went to all the stones and we were digging a hole until it was about our hight, we kept it just the right size so just me and her could fit also we didn't have a lot of time so we kept it just us if a lot of people were with us it would of took us longer to make the hole. 3)In Minecraft you have to kill a animal and cook it to eat and in a community you also have to kill a animal and cook it to eat in Minecraft you have to build a shelters and in a community you have to build a shelters so there really like the same thing except Minecraft is a game and the other is real life.

  25. 1: By adding night/enemies affected my abilities to survive because I had to make a shelter and I also had to try to not to get killed by any of the enemies.
2: I used the shelter to help my friends and keep me safe from the enemies and I used some windows to see if anyone or any enemies were coming and it worked well defending my shelter/house
3: I think that we should use Minecraft like a tiny town were we could build houses near each other. Also everyone could have jobs and earn money for there families and friends.

  26. Adding night and enemies made it a bit harder , but since there was a lot of us playing the mobs were more focused on the kids without any shelter or anything... For my shelter I personally used wood planks, torches, and then the daily mine craft necessities. To make mine craft more like a community we could have assigned jobs, and or we could all have to follow certain "laws"... Also, we could add a currency of some sort so there is something to reward those that work like a mule.

  27. 1) Avoiding the enemies was a little challenging because you needed a to build a shelter to survive. It was also a little challenging finding food in time before you die.
    2) My shelter was underground. I built it because i wasn't going to have enough time to build a better one. My shelter protect me, but it wasn't the best.
    3) Everyone can make their own shelter and we can trade supplies for different ones, if needed. We could also work together to build a huge shelter.

  28. 1) I was fine! I survived the night! but there was a zombie but I killed it!
I didn't starve either! i was with jessica and leslie!
2)i built a big wooden house and also put our houses together! it worked really well!
3)you could add bigger mobs and more challenges! just like the early humans faced!

    ReplyDelete
  29. 1) I thought that it was really hard. I don't really play mine craft and I thought that it put a lot of pressure on me when the sun started to go down. That meant that I had to go back to my house and make sure i didn't die from the monsters, but I ended up dieing anyway.

    2) Since I forgot ahead of time that I needed to get some supplies, at the last minute I had to collect some sand and stack them on top of each other from where I was standing and quickly build a house. I didnt care if it was good or bad I just needed to be safe from the enemies.

3)Maybe we could add all of our supplies together and do even better with getting food and finding shelter.

    ReplyDelete
  30. 1) Adding night time was a little hard because we had to try to make a good shelter so the enemies did not kill us. While doing that we had to figure out how to make wood lights and other things so it was a challenge.
    2) I used wood for shelter and it wasn't really that hard for my group because Lauren is really advanced so she new the basics and how to make things like a touch. But the only problem we had was none of us new how to make a door so yea.
    3) If we were to continue I think we would have to build houses near each other and different communitie things so we would have a good civilization and all be able to work together. Possibly by doing that we could have really cool things like Starbucks wawa and you know many lindy hops. That is what I think what would be cool and what we could do to make a civilization.

  31. 1. It was harder because we had to make shelter and gather up food for the night.

    2. I used the dirt underground and closed it up. I never saw any creatures much.

    3. We could make a community by making gold money and making school or stores,or real homes.
